Blenim Dove is the solo project of female singer songwriter Kirt who also fronts electronica band
Tribal Infinity and was previously guitarist
in pop-punk four piece The Pittstops.
born in Nottingham, UK in 1980, Kirt (Kirsty) began studying music and dance from age 3 years old and by 7 years old had already begun composing on the piano and was awarded first place for a piano solo in the 1988 Nottingham Music Festival and After taking up the guitar that same year, began writing her first songs. In 1996 she recorded her first demo which featured two songs '4Walls' which was written in 1994 and 'The Door' (1996).
In 1998 Kirt teamed up with drummer and producer
Dug Robson and began recording a Blenim Dove demo which included ''What They Never Told You', 'That Day' and
'For Sale'. The project became side tracked when the two of them joined The Pittstops who finally disbanded in 2002.
Kirt and Dug continued to work together and set up
Unit24 Records in order to release their own music
and
collaborate and
support fellow
artists and friends.
Together they formed 'Tribal Infinity' and in 2007
won an award for best female fronted band with
their debut ep 'Chaos Child' available to download here.
Her alter-ego is Tribal Fusion Belly Dancer
Beatrice Flowers, she is Nottingham's first certified ATS teacher and director of the Nottingham tribal belly dance company.
